To enable Zoom AI Summary and transcripts, make sure your Zoom settings are configured correctly for recording and encryption.
Step 1: Enable Enhanced Encryption in Zoom Web Settings
- Log in to the Zoom web portal via OneLogin.
- Navigate to Settings > Meeting > Security.
- Under Default encryption type, select Enhanced encryption.
- Click Save to apply the setting.
Step 2: Use Your Personal Meeting ID (PMI) When Starting a Meeting
- Open the Zoom desktop app.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to New meeting.
- Make sure Use my personal meeting ID (PMI) is checked before starting the meeting.
Step 3: Verify Recording and Transcripts
- Start your meeting using your PMI.
- Ensure recording is enabled in the meeting controls.
- Verify that AI Summary and transcript options are active after the meeting ends.
If recording or transcripts still do not work, open a ticket with IT and include the following:
- Screenshot of your Zoom Security settings page showing the encryption type.
- Screenshot of the Zoom app showing use of your PMI.
- Any error messages related to recording.
- Confirmation that you completed the steps above.
